Galala University Students Visit Artificial Limbs Factory to Explore Real-World Applications of Prosthetic Technology

At Galala University (GU), we believe in providing our students with practical learning experiences that bridge the gap between academia and real-world applications.

In line with this vision, GU organized a field visit to an artificial limbs factory for students enrolled in the Technology of Prosthetic and Orthotic Devices program. This visit allowed students to gain firsthand insight into the manufacturing process of prosthetic and orthotic devices, from initial design stages to the final product assembly.

During the visit, students explored the technological advancements driving this vital healthcare sector, learned about modern materials and fabrication techniques, and understood the critical role of prosthetics and orthotics in improving patients’ quality of life.

The experience also highlighted the career opportunities available in this growing field, emphasizing the program’s relevance to both the healthcare industry and Egypt’s broader efforts in medical innovation and rehabilitation services.
