Galala University Celebrates Excellence, Dedication, and Community Spirit

Appreciation, gratitude, and recognition filled the air at Galala University during a heartfelt celebration that honored outstanding achievements and dedicated service.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, Acting President of Galala University, and Prof. Dr. Tarek Abou El Maaty, Vice President for Academic Affairs, led the ceremony to recognize the university’s champions, Mohamed Salah and Abd El Rahman Shamla, who won gold and bronze medals in karate and taekwondo, respectively.

The event also celebrated active students who consistently contribute to the university’s success and act as true ambassadors of Galala University, receiving certificates of recognition for their commitment and enthusiasm.

A special tribute was paid to Mrs. Abla Othman for her dedication and continuous support to students, reflecting GU’s spirit of care and guidance. The day also marked the inauguration of Galala University’s first Student Union — a new platform that empowers students to voice their ideas and take part in shaping their academic and social experience.

The ceremony concluded with an emotional moment of remembrance for Ahmed Raafat Ammar, a beloved student who passed away recently. His mother and family were honored as part of this touching tribute, ensuring his memory remains part of the GU community.
