Interior Design Students Explore Real-World Applications Through a Field Visit to a Leading Furniture Brand
At Galala University, learning goes beyond the classroom walls—it’s about immersing students in real-world experiences that bridge creativity, functionality, and innovation. As part of this experiential learning approach, Interior Design students from the Faculty of Art and Design embarked on an educational field trip to one of Egypt’s largest and most renowned furniture stores specializing in ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances, and home accessories.
During the visit, students gained hands-on exposure to modern design concepts, spatial planning, and aesthetic integration. They observed how professionals utilize design principles in creating cohesive living spaces and learned practical techniques in furniture layout, color harmony, lighting arrangement, and equipment placement.
This experience allowed students to connect their academic knowledge with practical applications, enriching their understanding of interior design as both an art and a science. It also helped them recognize how design thinking and creative problem-solving can enhance user experience and functionality in residential and commercial spaces.
Such field visits align with Galala University’s mission to equip students with industry-relevant skills and to prepare them for successful careers in the ever-evolving design and architecture sectors.
