Galala University Honors October War Heroes in Inspiring Seminar for Students

In a heartfelt celebration of Egypt’s October War victory, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, GU Acting President, welcomed two distinguished October War heroes, General Major Gaber El Shaarawy and General Major Mohsen Allam, to Galala University.

During an engaging seminar, the Majors shared their first-hand experiences with GU students, recounting the courageous events of the Kabrit Battalion 603, which endured a relentless Israeli siege for over four consecutive months. Their narratives highlighted the bravery, resilience, and unwavering commitment of Egyptian soldiers, providing students with a powerful insight into the sacrifices that shaped the nation’s history.

The seminar emphasized not only the tactical and military strategies employed during the siege but also the spirit of patriotism and teamwork that enabled the battalion to overcome extreme challenges.
