Galala University Student Represents Egypt at United Nations Cyber Stability Conference in Geneva

We are proud to announce a remarkable achievement by Mohamed El-Sadeq, a student at the Faculty of Sciences in the Biotechnology program at Galala University, who has become the first student from Egyptian national universities to be officially invited by the United Nations to participate in a prestigious international conference in Geneva.

Mohamed took part in both the Cyber Stability Conference and the Capacity Building in Cybersecurity Conference, held as part of Geneva Cyber Week at the United Nations Headquarters in Switzerland.

His participation came as a representative of Egypt and a youth ambassador for the “Youth for Sustainability” program, a national initiative by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Mohamed was selected through a highly competitive international process based on principles of diversity and inclusion.

Throughout the week, Mohamed actively engaged in workshops on cyber diplomacy and the emerging challenges in the digital space, where he emphasized the critical role of youth inclusion in global policy-making and the importance of building a secure and sustainable digital future.

We congratulate Mohamed on this outstanding milestone and celebrate his role in placing Galala University—and Egypt—on the global stage.
