Manhattan School Day – Student Recruitment Visit

Hallway chatter turned into real plans for next year as Galala University’s Marketing team visited Manhattan School to meet prospective seniors and their counselors. Rather than a one-way presentation, the session worked like a “mini open house on the road”: a short spotlight on GU’s programs and partnerships, followed by small-group Q&A where students could map interests to concrete pathways.

What students heard—fast, clear, actionable:

  • Programs & pathways: an overview of GU’s faculties and the dual-degree tracks powered by international partnerships, plus examples of capstones and research opportunities that employers notice.

  • Admissions, simplified: timelines, required documents, English requirements, and what a strong application looks like (with tips for personal statements that actually add value).

  • Scholarships & support: merit pathways, need-based consideration, and how the university supports first-year success—advising, skills workshops, and student life.

  • Campus life & facilities: labs, studios, and accommodation—what “day one” looks like for a new student at GU.

“Our job isn’t to sell you a brochure,” a GU representative told one group. “It’s to help you match what you want to study with where you’ll thrive.”

Counselor meetings focused on sustained engagement: a dedicated contact channel for Manhattan School, counselor briefings each term, and priority invites to on-campus open days and thematic workshops (STEM challenges, creative studios, health-sciences simulations). Students left with a step-by-step admissions guide and a follow-up sign-up for a virtual clinic covering applications and scholarships.

Why this matters
The visit fits GU’s recruitment philosophy—inform early, advise honestly, and build relationships with schools that champion academic excellence. It strengthens a pipeline where students see clear options, not marketing noise, and where counselors have a direct line to faculty and admissions.
