As part of its ongoing efforts to foster innovation and strengthen the role of entrepreneurship across different sectors, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Galala University organized the Sports Entrepreneurship Conference, held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Minister of Youth and Sports.
The conference highlighted innovation and sustainability in the sports sector, emphasizing the role of sports entrepreneurship in supporting the national economy, attracting investment, and creating new opportunities for collaboration between academic institutions and the private sports industry. In addition, the event featured an exhibition area where leading sports companies showcased their latest products and services, presenting practical models of innovation and entrepreneurship within the sports sector.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, reaffirmed that entrepreneurship remains at the top of the university’s strategic priorities, not only in economic and technological fields but also in the sports industry, which has emerged as one of the most dynamic sectors capable of creating jobs and attracting investments. He emphasized that through this conference, Galala University seeks to build bridges of cooperation with different sectors of society, contributing to Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
From her side, Prof. Dr. Nagwa Samak, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, highlighted that the conference served as an important platform to showcase the vital role of sports entrepreneurship in empowering youth and transforming innovative ideas into real projects. She noted that Galala University continues to be a pioneer in offering specialized academic programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the field of sports business management, positioning itself at the forefront of academic innovation in Egypt and the region.
The conference concluded with a reaffirmation of Galala University’s commitment to organizing academic and practical initiatives that promote innovation and entrepreneurship across all fields, thereby enhancing its role as a leading institution in education, research, and community engagement. By launching Egypt’s first academic program in Sports Business and spearheading initiatives in sports entrepreneurship, Galala University actively contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
