In a new step towards strengthening the integration between academic education and practical training, Galala University inaugurated the outpatient clinics at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, in a ceremony attended by faculty members, program directors, and students, under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University.

The inauguration reflects the University’s commitment to supporting applied education and enhancing its societal role by preparing highly qualified and skilled healthcare professionals while providing distinguished therapeutic services to the local community and residents of the surrounding areas.

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi emphasized that this milestone embodies the University’s vision of connecting education with community service. He highlighted that the new clinics serve as a practical model of GU’s approach to combining academic learning with hands-on clinical training and social responsibility.

Dr. El-Shinawi also affirmed that Galala University places special focus on expanding its healthcare and educational services to benefit the people of Suez Governorate and neighboring regions, through specialized treatment units that offer both affordable and high-quality medical care. He added that the University aims to become an advanced healthcare and training hub in the Galala and Ain Sokhna area.

From his side, Prof. Dr. Samir El-Gazzar, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, expressed his pride in the opening of the outpatient clinics, describing it as a strategic achievement that reflects the college’s mission of merging theoretical education with clinical practice. He added that the clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art international devices, offering a comprehensive therapeutic and training environment for students while delivering specialized services to all segments of society.

Dr. Khaled Assem, Director of the Outpatient Clinics, explained that the facility includes several specialized units, such as orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, women’s health, cardiopulmonary, and respiratory rehabilitation clinics, in addition to a therapeutic exercise unit equipped with the latest international technologies. The clinics feature modern ultrasound, laser, electrical stimulation, shortwave, and motion analysis systems, all designed in line with international physiotherapy standards.

A qualified team of faculty members and professional therapists provides comprehensive rehabilitative care to students, staff, local residents, and even visitors to the Ain Sokhna region, offering advanced rehabilitation programs tailored to diverse needs.
This initiative reaffirms Galala University’s commitment to advancing applied health education and strengthening its developmental and social role, in line with Egypt’s national vision to enhance higher education and integrated healthcare services.
