Students from Level 4, Faculty of Pharmacy at Galala University, achieved remarkable recognition by securing one of the first places at the 3rd International Conference on Cancer: Treatment & Diagnosis, organized by the National Research Center on 28 29 October 2025.
Supervised by Dr. Sherif Arafa, Lecturer of Biochemistry, the students presented their innovative research poster titled “Machine Learning Classification Model for Prediction of Thyroid Cancer Recurrence.” Their work demonstrated how artificial intelligence and machine learning can be leveraged to improve cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient outcomes.
Following their success, the students presented their research journey and insights to peers and tutors at Galala University, highlighting their hands-on experience and the potential of AI-driven approaches to revolutionize pharmaceutical and clinical oncology practices.
This achievement underscores the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to fostering innovation, scientific excellence, and interdisciplinary learning, preparing its students to lead at the intersection of pharmaceutical sciences and emerging technologies.
