Galala University and Egypt Healthcare Authority Sign MoU to Advance Medical Training and Upskill Healthcare Professionals

Galala University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) in a new step to strengthen institutional collaboration and support Egypt’s medical training ecosystem. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University, and Dr. Ahmed El Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority, under the patronage and in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Hatem, Chairman of Galala University’s Board of Trustees.

The agreement aims to deepen academic and professional partnership between both institutions, contributing to the advancement of students’ and medical professionals’ competencies, and enhancing the capacity of Egypt’s Comprehensive Health Insurance system nationwide.

Commenting on the MoU, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi stated that the partnership reflects Galala University’s commitment to providing advanced training opportunities for its students. He emphasized the University’s focus on building strategic partnerships with national health institutions to prepare graduates equipped with knowledge, skills, and practical experience. Prof. El Shinawi added that cooperation with the Egypt Healthcare Authority will significantly enrich the University’s medical training programs and strengthen students’ readiness for the job market.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed El Sobky expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with Galala University, describing it as one of Egypt’s leading modern academic institutions. He noted that the Authority has a strong healthcare infrastructure and highly qualified teams, and welcomed supporting Galala University students and medical staff through advanced training programs aligned with international standards. Dr. El Sobky also stressed that this cooperation supports the state’s vision of developing human capital in the healthcare sector.

This MoU marks an important milestone in expanding clinical and professional training for Galala University students and alumni. It reinforces integration between academic institutions and the healthcare sector, with a positive impact on the quality and development of healthcare services in Egypt.
