Galala University celebrated the graduation of two National Defense College courses dedicated to academic staff, administrative staff, and students, under the patronage and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University, and with the participation of Major General Mahmoud Amin, Director of the National Defense College. The event was held within the framework of the ongoing cooperation between Galala University and the Military Academy for Postgraduate and Strategic Studies.
The graduation ceremony followed the conclusion of the Strategic Studies and National Security Awareness Course, organized by the Military Academy for Postgraduate and Strategic Studies from 21 to 24 December 2025. The course aimed to enhance strategic awareness and deepen understanding of national security concepts among university affiliates.
The program included a series of specialized lectures covering key topics such as the concept of the state, the evolution of the international system, state pillars and governance systems, foundations and dimensions of national security, objectives and interests of influential powers in the Middle East, regional and international changes and their impact on national security, challenges and threats facing Egyptian national security, the role of the Armed Forces in safeguarding national security and internal cohesion, as well as comprehensive national power.
In his address during the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi expressed his pride in hosting these significant courses at Galala University, emphasizing that strengthening awareness of national security and strategic studies is an integral part of the university’s role in preparing academically, administratively, and intellectually qualified cadres capable of positively contributing to serving the nation and confronting contemporary challenges.
He added that cooperation with the Military Academy for Postgraduate and Strategic Studies reflects the university’s commitment to offering advanced educational and awareness programs that respond to current national needs and contribute to building a well-rounded university community combining academic specialization with deep national awareness.
Prof. Dr. El Shinawi also affirmed the university’s continued support for initiatives that promote national belonging and reinforce social responsibility, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the organizers and lecturers for the distinguished scientific content presented during the course.
The course was administratively supervised and coordinated by Major General (Dr.) Yasser El Sayed, Director General of Galala Academy for Training, and Dr. Nermeen El Qamah, who played a key role in organizing and managing the program in line with its educational and awareness objectives.
As part of Galala University’s commitment to enhancing national awareness and highlighting the role of media in supporting state issues, students from the Faculty of Media Production participated in a specialized course titled “Media and National Security.” The course aimed to academically and practically prepare students to understand media-related national security challenges and the role of media in addressing them.
This participation was held under the supervision of Dr. Dina Araby, Dean of the Faculty of Media Production, and Dr. Amira Samir, Program Director, in line with the university’s vision to prepare conscious and responsible media professionals equipped with both academic knowledge and practical experience.
The ceremony concluded with honoring participants and awarding certificates of completion, amid wide appreciation for the academic depth and awareness value of the lectures, reflecting Galala University’s dedication to promoting national and strategic awareness among all its affiliates.
