On Saturday, 6 December 2025, a group of Logistics and Supply Chain students from the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Galala University conducted an educational field visit to Cairo International Airport Cargo and Tariff Village, as part of their practical learning activities.

The visit was supervised by Teaching Assistants Mohamed Hisham and Yassin Ahmed, and organized through the initiative and coordination of Dr. Nagwa Samak, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to experiential learning and industry engagement.

During the visit, students were provided with a comprehensive overview of airport cargo operations, gaining firsthand insight into the complex processes involved in cargo handling, logistics management, and documentation procedures. They observed the functioning of the tariffing system, including methods for calculating customs duties, classifying goods, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

Students also toured the operations offices, where they explored the administrative side of cargo management, including documentation workflows, shipment tracking, and interdepartmental coordination. This exposure allowed students to connect theoretical concepts studied in the classroom with the practical administrative and organizational aspects of real-world logistics operations.

The visit featured interactive sessions with faculty members and industry professionals, giving students the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions on airport logistics, supply chain efficiency, and operational strategies. These discussions encouraged critical thinking and enhanced students’ understanding of current challenges and best practices in the logistics sector.

In addition to its educational value, the visit contributed to fostering potential future collaboration between students and industry professionals, supporting networking opportunities and professional engagement within the field of logistics and supply chain management.

Overall, the field visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to observe the dynamics of cargo and tariff management in a real operational environment, enhancing their academic learning and supporting their professional development.
