The Textile and Apparel Design Program at Galala University participated in the third youth exchange Innovation Camp under the ERASMUS+ project “Second Chance,” an international initiative focused on entrepreneurship, design, and sustainability. The camp was held at Center Rog in Ljubljana, Slovenia, bringing together young innovators from multiple partner organizations.
The Innovation Camp offered students an immersive learning experience centered on innovation models, creative entrepreneurship, and sustainable textile and fashion design. Through a series of interactive workshops and collaborative activities, participants explored new approaches to developing responsible and future-oriented design solutions.
Students also benefited from structured mentoring sessions that supported the development of their business ideas. These sessions focused on business development, communication strategies, and product design, enabling participants to refine their concepts and strengthen their entrepreneurial mindset.
The international camp provided students with a valuable opportunity to engage in cross-cultural collaboration, exchange ideas with peers from different backgrounds, and gain insight into global perspectives on sustainability and innovation within the fashion industry.
Participation in the ERASMUS Innovation Camp reinforced the program’s vision of preparing students for global careers in the textile and apparel sector, equipping them with the skills needed to innovate, collaborate, and develop impactful, sustainable projects. Overall, the experience enhanced students’ creative confidence, broadened their professional outlook, and strengthened international academic and industry ties.
