The Galala University Simulation Training Center has officially received accreditation from the American Heart Association (AHA) to add the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) program to its certified training portfolio, marking a significant advancement in the university’s clinical training capabilities.

This accreditation followed a comprehensive two-day evaluation visit conducted on Sunday and Monday, 23–24 November 2025, by Dr. Mamdouh Abdelsamad Makawy, AHA Regional Faculty for Egypt and the Middle East. The visit included a detailed assessment of the center’s training environment, simulation facilities, instructional methodologies, and adherence to AHA educational and operational standards.

The accreditation was granted after the successful qualification of five certified instructors, trained in accordance with the AHA 2025 Guidelines. This achievement reflects the center’s high level of readiness, advanced simulation infrastructure, and the professional competence of its training staff, enabling it to deliver internationally recognized life support programs.

The addition of the ACLS program enhances the center’s role in providing advanced clinical training for healthcare students and professionals, particularly in the management of cardiovascular emergencies. Through hands-on simulation-based education, the program supports the development of critical decision-making, teamwork, and advanced resuscitation skills in realistic clinical scenarios.

This milestone aligns with Galala University’s strategic commitment to preparing healthcare graduates with the essential clinical competencies required by the labor market, while promoting awareness and practical application of Basic and Advanced Life Support principles in line with the latest internationally approved standards. The accreditation further reinforces the university’s position as a leading hub for high-quality medical education and professional healthcare training.
