Galala University has officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art CT & MRI Simulation Center at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, marking a significant milestone in advancing applied education and simulation-based training in Egypt.
The new center reflects the University’s strong commitment to equipping students with cutting-edge practical skills aligned with the latest academic and professional standards in Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology. Designed to replicate real clinical environments, the facility enables students to gain hands-on experience that bridges the gap between theoretical learning and real-world medical practice.
The inauguration was led by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shenawy, President of Galala University, emphasizing the institution’s strategic focus on modern training methodologies and innovation in healthcare education. The center is expected to play a vital role in preparing highly qualified graduates ready to meet the evolving demands of the healthcare sector.
The event witnessed distinguished participation from both local and international experts. Among the notable contributors was Dr. Kenneth Meacham, President of the Institute for Advanced Clinical Imaging (IACI), who delivered a special video message highlighting the global importance of simulation in enhancing radiology education.
Additional academic figures attended the opening, including Prof. Ahmed Abdelkhaleq from Mansoura University, alongside virtual participation from Dr. Magdi Ail (Gulf Medical University, UAE) and Dr. Mohamed Zakaria El Sayed (Liwa University, UAE). Their contributions underscored the critical role of simulation-based training in improving students’ clinical readiness and professional competence.
The University also acknowledged its partner, iMed, for providing advanced X-ray software across all laboratory devices, reinforcing a strong collaboration that supports high-quality training infrastructure.
