The Faculty of Nursing at Galala University organized the 3rd International Scientific Conference and the 2nd International Student Conference on April 27, 2026, under the theme: “Navigating the Future of Nurses in the Digital Era.”
The event aimed to support scientific research, develop students’ skills, and keep up with global changes in healthcare.
The conferences were held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, and Prof. Gehan Ghoneimy, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing. The event was organized by Prof. Rania Farag, under the supervision of Prof. Naglaa El-Mokadem and Dr. Ayman Sanousy.
In his speech, Prof. Mohamed El-Shinawi highlighted the important role of nursing in supporting healthcare systems and stressed the need for cooperation between different medical fields.
Prof. Ehab Hassanein, Vice President of the University, praised the achievements of the Faculty of Nursing and its academic progress.
Prof. Gehan Ghoneimy welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of developing students’ research and practical skills, as well as supporting the continuous growth of the nursing profession.
The conference was attended by more than 60 faculty members and 350 students from different universities, showing its strong academic value.
The scientific sessions discussed key topics such as digital transformation in healthcare, artificial intelligence in nursing, mental health, ethical challenges, and improving healthcare quality by using modern technology.
The student conference included participants from many Egyptian universities, reflecting strong cooperation between students. It featured research presentations and lectures, including a session by Dr. Zaki Mohamed El-Kalashy on the importance of unified language in international education.
The event also included student competitions, activities, and poster presentations that allowed students to present their ideas and research.
The conferences ended with recommendations to support research, encourage innovation, strengthen cooperation, and prepare qualified nursing graduates for the future of healthcare.
