Galala University, in collaboration with EMUNI University, successfully organized the “Entrepreneurship Sprint,” a one-day intensive workshop aimed at fostering entrepreneurial thinking and equipping students with practical business development skills. The event was held at Galala University under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University, and in the presence of H.E. Mr. Sašo Podlesnik, Slovenian Ambassador to Egypt. The EMUNI delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Rado Bohinc, President of EMUNI University.
The workshop brought together bachelor’s and master’s students in an interactive “learning by doing” experience designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the real-world startup ecosystem. Participants engaged in interdisciplinary teamwork, mentorship, and practical training sessions focused on transforming innovative ideas into viable business concepts.
Throughout the event, students participated in a series of workshops covering entrepreneurial mindset development, problem discovery, idea generation, customer validation, business model development, rapid prototyping, and pitch training. Working in teams under the guidance of mentors and facilitators, participants developed creative solutions to real-world challenges and presented their ideas during a final pitch session.
The Entrepreneurship Sprint also provided valuable networking opportunities between students, mentors, and representatives from both universities, reinforcing the importance of international collaboration in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event reflects the shared commitment of Galala University and EMUNI University to empowering youth innovation, enhancing entrepreneurial culture, and preparing students with the practical skills needed to succeed in today’s evolving global economy.
