Galala University Celebrates Outstanding Achievement of Students of Determination Recognized on Arizona State University’s Dean’s List

Galala University proudly celebrates a new academic milestone as several students of determination affiliated with the University’s Equal Opportunities Unit have been selected for the prestigious Dean’s List at Arizona State University (ASU) for the Spring 2026 semester.

The recognition reflects the students’ exceptional academic performance and outstanding achievements in courses offered through the dual degree program between Galala University and Arizona State University.

This accomplishment marks another success for members of the first cohort (Cohort 1) of the USAID scholarship program, who are currently in their third year of study under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Their dedication and perseverance have enabled them to excel academically despite various challenges throughout their educational journey.

The students recognized on ASU’s Dean’s List for Spring 2026 are: Mostafa Ahmed Mostafa, Jaber Mohamed Gaber, Seif El-Din Alaa, Bilal Attia, Shorouk Ayad, and Karen Magdy.

Professor Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, emphasized that this achievement represents an inspiring example of determination and resilience, reflecting the University’s commitment to providing an inclusive educational environment that ensures equal opportunities for all students to succeed and thrive.

“We are proud of our students of determination for achieving this distinguished international academic recognition. Their success proves that determination and perseverance can overcome all challenges,” he stated.

Galala University remains dedicated to providing comprehensive academic and human support to its students, enabling them to reach their full potential and compete at both local and international levels. Supporting and empowering students of determination remains a strategic priority for the University, aligned with its vision of delivering high-quality education that promotes inclusion, equal opportunities, and sustainability.

Dr. Dina Orabi, Director of the Equal Opportunities Unit at Galala University, highlighted the Unit’s continuous efforts over the years to support these exceptional students throughout their educational journey. The Unit has provided integrated support covering financial, technical, healthcare, housing, and logistical services, in addition to ensuring access to academic resources and sustainable internet services.

The Equal Opportunities Unit also assisted students in registering on Arizona State University’s disability support platform to secure appropriate academic accommodations. Despite the additional challenges associated with studying a significant portion of their coursework through online learning, the students’ determination and the collaborative efforts of the University enabled them to achieve remarkable academic success and earn a place on the Dean’s List.

Galala University reaffirms its commitment to supporting students of determination and fostering an inclusive university community where every student has the opportunity to excel academically and professionally.
