As part of its commitment to strengthening its international presence and reinforcing its role as a leading institution in innovation and digital transformation, Galala University participated in the QS EduData Summit 2026, held in Singapore. The summit is recognized as one of the world’s leading events focused on leveraging data and artificial intelligence to support decision-making and advance higher education institutions.
Galala University was represented by Mr. Mohab Saleh, General Manager of Business Development, who was the only Egyptian speaker featured in the summit’s official program. During the event, he delivered a specialized masterclass titled “Trust Pixels: How Tiny UX Choices Drive Big Enrollments,” highlighting how subtle digital design elements and user experience decisions on educational platforms can directly and measurably influence students’ application and enrollment choices.
The summit brought together distinguished academic leaders, experts, and decision-makers from universities and educational institutions worldwide. It served as a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge and discussing the latest developments in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation in higher education, while also fostering international partnerships and professional networks that support educational advancement.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University, emphasized that the university’s participation in this global event reflects its growing international reputation and recognition. He noted that Galala University follows a strategic vision centered on innovation and the effective use of modern technologies and data to enhance educational outcomes and improve the student experience.
“We are proud to participate in one of the most prominent global summits dedicated to the future of higher education, and we are equally proud to see Egypt represented by one of Galala University’s distinguished professionals among the summit’s official speakers,” said Prof. Dr. El Shinawi. “This participation demonstrates that Galala University has become an active contributor to shaping global conversations on education, innovation, and digital transformation, rather than merely observing international developments.”
For his part, Mr. Mohab Saleh explained that his masterclass focused on the importance of designing digital experiences that prioritize users’ needs and expectations. He highlighted how seemingly minor user interface and interaction design decisions can significantly impact application and enrollment rates across educational institutions.
He added that the session generated strong engagement from participants, particularly given the growing global interest in utilizing data and digital analytics to enhance institutional performance and improve universities’ ability to reach and serve prospective students more effectively.
The summit also provided a valuable opportunity to exchange expertise with leading international institutions and explore global best practices in digital transformation and data-driven decision-making within higher education.
This participation aligns with Galala University’s ongoing efforts to expand its international engagement and benefit from the latest global practices in smart education and digital transformation, supporting its vision of preparing globally competitive graduates and contributing to the development of a knowledge-based economy.
