Galala University has achieved a new milestone in its journey toward institutional excellence, becoming the first fourth-generation national university in Egypt to receive both the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), and the ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organizations Management System certification, accredited by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC).
The official certificate handover ceremony took place at the university’s campus, where Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University, received the certifications in the presence of representatives from the awarding body, the consulting partner, the university’s project management team, and senior leaders from the university’s central administration.
The certifications were presented by AJA-Egypt (Anglo Japanese American Registrars), represented by Dr. Amr Othman and Dr. Mohamed Othman.
The ceremony was also attended by representatives of Arab Engineering Company (AEC), the consulting firm that supported the university throughout the qualification process, including Dr. Abdo Saad El Din Mostafa, General Manager of AEC, and Dr. Manal Darwish, Project Consultant and Consulting Project Manager.
Representing the university’s project management team were Dr. Rana Zeidan, Former Secretary General and Executive Director of the project, and Ms. Shaim Samir, General Manager of Institutional Excellence and Project Manager, whose leadership and dedication were instrumental in successfully implementing the international standards across the university.
The event also brought together directors of the university’s central administration departments, units, and centers, celebrating the collaborative efforts that made this achievement possible.
Receiving these internationally recognized certifications reflects Galala University’s unwavering commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and the implementation of global best practices in quality management and educational governance. As the first fourth-generation national university in Egypt to achieve this distinction, the university continues to strengthen its position as a leading higher education institution dedicated to delivering an exceptional learning environment and world-class institutional performance.
