Galala University proudly celebrates the selection of Assistant Professor Mina Michel Samaan as a DAAD Research Ambassador in Egypt for the 2026–2028 term, in recognition of his academic excellence, international research engagement, and strong ties with the German higher education and research community.
The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Research Ambassador Initiative identifies distinguished and active DAAD alumni who serve as institutional ambassadors for higher education and research opportunities in Germany. Through a competitive selection process, candidates demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the German higher education and research landscape, as well as a sustained record of academic collaboration with German institutions.
As part of his new role, Asst. Prof. Mina Michel Samaan will receive specialized training from the DAAD Regional Office Cairo, enabling him to organize information sessions on studying and conducting research in Germany, promote scholarship and funding opportunities, and provide guidance to students, researchers, and academic staff interested in pursuing international academic and research pathways.
This prestigious appointment reflects Galala University’s commitment to fostering global academic engagement, strengthening international research collaboration, and expanding opportunities for its students and faculty to connect with leading universities and research institutions worldwide.
