Galala University proudly congratulates Rofail Anton on securing First Place in the Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry Competition at the Egyptian Dental Syndicate International Congress (EDSIC 2026), held from September 2–4, 2026, at InterContinental Cairo Citystars.
This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication, innovation, and research capabilities of Galala University students and their ability to harness emerging technologies to address real-world healthcare challenges.
Anton’s project explores the use of artificial intelligence to support the early diagnosis of various oral and dental conditions, enhance diagnostic accuracy, reduce the potential for human error, and facilitate faster, more informed clinical decision-making.
The project was developed through collaborative efforts with dental interns, particularly Dr. Ahmed Essam, who played an important role in providing the diagnostic radiographic data required to develop and train the AI model.
Through this achievement, Galala University continues to celebrate student excellence and encourage innovative research that connects academic knowledge with technological advancement and contributes to the future of digital healthcare.
