Galala University celebrates a new student achievement as Ahmed Abdelaziz Mohamed secured First Place in Individual Singing at the second edition of the “Tarab” Music and Singing Festival for Egyptian Universities, hosted by Suez University.
The festival was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, and was organized by Suez University in cooperation with the Student Activities Sector and the Leadership Development Institute.
Held over five days, the second edition of “Tarab” brought together music and choir teams representing Egyptian universities and institutes. The festival featured the participation of 29 Egyptian public, national, and private universities, providing a national platform for talented students to showcase their artistic abilities and engage with their peers from universities across Egypt.
The festival aims to discover and nurture student talent in music and singing while encouraging creativity, artistic expression, teamwork, and the exchange of experiences among university students. Competitions included individual singing, individual instrumental performance, and group singing, with performances evaluated by a specialized jury of music professors and experts.
Ahmed Abdelaziz’s achievement in the individual singing competition highlights the diverse talents of Galala University students beyond their academic pursuits and reflects the importance of student activities in providing opportunities for young people to develop their abilities and represent their university in national competitions.
