Minister of Environment Visits Galala University Booth at COP27
As part of its active engagement in COP27 Egypt, Galala University (GU) was honored to welcome H.E. Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, to its eco-friendly booth in the Green Zone.
H.E. was received by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, Acting President of Galala University, and Dr. Rana Zeidan, Secretary General, who introduced her to the innovative design and concept behind the university’s booth.
Dr. Fouad expressed her appreciation for the remarkable creativity demonstrated by GU students, who designed and built the booth entirely from recycled materials — a testament to their commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness.
The Minister praised the university’s strategy that aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and reflects its dedication to promoting sustainable practices across campus operations, academic activities, and student initiatives.
Galala University’s participation in COP27 underscores its mission to advocate for climate action, empower youth to take leadership roles in environmental stewardship, and contribute to national and global sustainability goals.
