Galala University Hosts the Arab Society of Nursing Faculties for a Productive Visit and Workshop on Advancing Nursing Education
Galala University (GU) was honored to welcome members of the Arab Society of Nursing Faculties for a special visit that highlighted the growing collaboration among nursing education institutions across the Arab region.
The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University, and Prof. Dr. Gehan Ghonemy, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, where they engaged in fruitful discussions on the future vision of higher education in Egypt and the latest advancements in nursing and health sciences.
As part of their visit, the guests toured the state-of-the-art skill laboratories at the Faculties of Dentistry, Medicine, and Nursing, gaining insight into GU’s innovative facilities designed to provide hands-on learning experiences for students and to support excellence in healthcare education.
The visit also featured an executive committee meeting of the Arab Society of Nursing Faculties, followed by an engaging workshop titled “Crafting a Competitive Postgraduate Nursing Program.” The workshop brought together renowned experts who discussed the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in nursing education and healthcare practice. A key highlight was the proposal of an innovative master’s program in Artificial Intelligence for Nursing, aimed at equipping future nurses with the skills needed to adapt to the evolving digital landscape of healthcare.
Attendees actively participated in interactive discussions, sharing experiences, best practices, and recommendations to further enhance nursing education standards in the Arab world. The event also served as a valuable networking platform, strengthening ties among nursing faculties and fostering opportunities for academic exchange and research collaboration.
This visit reflects Galala University’s continuous efforts to promote regional partnerships, advance nursing education, and align academic programs with future healthcare needs, in support of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
