Media Production


Study at the Field of Media Production is divided into 2 phases:


Foundation phase: 

Builds a general background in different social and human disciplines and prepares students for the specialization phase in media production. 

Its duration is 4 semesters, during which students study a number of courses in humanities and social sciences in addition to general communication courses.

Specialization phase: 

Its duration is 4 semesters, where students get to specialize in one of the following programs: Television Production, News Production, Advertising Production, and Cinema Production.

  • Freelancing.

Television Production Program

This program focuses on the different aspects of television production. Students acquire the skills, knowledge, and on-ground experience needed to produce and manage television content. 

The program curriculum gives a wider perspective for students to understand the effects and different roles that television media products could potentially have.


 

News Production Program

With the current global diversification of news platforms, this program prepares graduates to work on multiple tasks of news production on the different platforms. 

Students will study and practice news gathering and processing to produce different news forms according to universal professional and ethical standards. 

Students also get exposure to the socio-political effects of the news on society. 


Advertising Production Program

As advertising is becoming a major media branch, this program focuses on preparing students to develop the advertising concept and creating different advertising media content according to the global industry standards. 

Students in this program have opportunities to gain the actual practices of the industry. 


 

Cinema Production Program

This program is designed to teach aspiring filmmakers the theory and practical skills, across a range of disciplines, to prepare them to pursue a career in the cinema industry. The curriculum is developed to foster student talents and provide the knowledge necessary to be a successful professional. It depends on technical training into the pre-production, production, and post-production phases of a film.

Graduates of this program have the opportunity to work in cinema production firms, television networks, documentary production, film distribution, academic practices, and international agencies.
