Prof. Reda is an Associate Professor of Natural Products Chemistry with expertise in bioactive compounds derived from both marine and terrestrial sources. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy (with Honors) from Suez Canal University, Egypt, in 2007. In 2013, he obtained his Master’s degree from Nagasaki University, Japan, followed by a Ph.D. in 2016 from the same institution. That year, he was also awarded a prestigious International Japanese Fellowship from the Takeda Science Foundation.
Following a one-year postdoctoral fellowship in Japan, Prof. Reda returned to Suez Canal University in 2018 as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacognosy. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. During his tenure at Suez Canal University, he served as IT Unit Manager, EPSF Coordinator, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy.
Currently, at Galala University, Prof. Reda is the Coordinator of the Pharmacognosy Department and Program Director of the Pharm D – Clinical Pharmacy Program, contributing his extensive academic, research, and leadership experience to advancing pharmaceutical education and research.
