Biography

Professor Ahmed El-Newishy got his PhD. degree from Cairo University in the field of laser science and biotechnology. His interests are how light can be used in effective diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Professor ElNewishy got the encouragement prize by Cairo University in biological science.

He was at Oxford University as a visiting postdoctoral fellow at Chemistry Research Laboratory with Diamond synchrotron for seeking effective antibiotics against resistant strains, Then moved to the United States where he worked as a research scientist at Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Harvard Medical School for two years before going back to his home institute at Cairo University.
