    Where do I apply? The Application can only be conducted online so that you can apply online on http://www.gu.edu.eg/ during the announced dates for admission. Who is eligible to apply? Students who finished grade 12 or third secondary year can apply. Students currently enrolled in grade 12 or third secondary year can apply, starting from the early admission announced dates. What is the language of the instruction? English is the language of instruction. My secondary school certificate results are not recent. Can I still apply? Yes, you can apply as per the admission requirements of the year  if you are currently enrolled at another university and passed all the registered courses. Application from old high school graduates is accepted within two years only of graduation. Do you accept transfer students? Yes transferred students are accepted after evaluation, to join the second year in the running academic year, and you have to pass all your previous registered courses. What are the original documents which are needed to be submitted to the university after the acceptance?
    • Original high school certificate with all the requiredb stamps.
    • Four photos (passport size with a white background).
    • Original Birth Certificate
    • Copy of the National ID for Egyptian students/ copy of the passport for foreign students
    • English Language test result if available
    • Form Namozag 2 Gond and 6 Gond for all male students or 7 Gond, including the military number.
    • Legal residence document or a passport including entry and exit dates for Arab Thanweya Amma applicants or any other high school certificates from outside Egypt.
    • Proof of passing the Arabic Language – Thanweya Amma level – for foreign certificates, if available
    • The original score document of the TOEFL or IELTS certificate, if any.
    • Deposit receipt of tuition fees.
    What are the original documents needed to be submitted by transferred students to the University for Evaluation?
    • Official university transcript.
    • Official course descriptions for evaluation.
    • Any other required documents.
    What tests do I have to take? The admission examination consists of three parts: 1) General Exam, 2) English Exam, 3) Specialized Exam, based on the program. To know about Each field exam, Click here What is the amount of the admission test fees? The fees of the Application, including the exams, are 750 EGP. When is the date for taking the admission test, and where will it be held? It will be scheduled; the test’s date and location will be sent by email to the applicants.     1. American Diploma:
    The original transcript of the American Diploma should be stamped by the school stamp and General Administration of Examinations in Egypt. The proof of completion of 12 years of high school. Each certificate shall be presented for each year with all its stamps in case of attending grades 10, 11, and 12 in different schools. The original SAT I and SAT II certificates certified by AMIDEAST and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Upon obtaining the American diploma from schools outside Egypt, the certificate must be stamped by the Egyptian Embassy in the country where the certificate is obtained, Egyptian Foreign Affairs Office , and a letter of accreditation from AMIDEAST. The original transcript of the Arabic language and Religion examinations should be submitted as well.  On obtaining the American Diploma from the United States of America, it is required to obtain  the certificate from accredited schools and provide proof of study of 12 years in the school. The certificate should be stamped by the Office of the Egyptian Cultural Counselor in Washington and the school. A certificate that proves passing the 12 years of school education, the original certificate of the preparatory stage, or the original certificate of the primary stage.
    1. IGCSE/GCSE:
    The original certificate or original transcript should be stamped by the British Council, the General Administration of Examinations, and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A certificate that proves passing 12 years of high school education, the original certificate of the preparatory stage, or the original certificate of the primary stage. In case of obtaining the British certificate from a country other than Egypt, proof of obtaining 12 years of school study stamped by the school, the educational administration, and the Egyptian Embassy in the country where the student has obtained the certificate should be submitted. The original transcript of the Arabic language and Religion examinations.
    1. International Baccalaureate:
    The original certificate or original transcript should be stamped by the organization, which grants the certificate in Genève, the Egyptian Embassy in Switzerland, General Department of Examinations in Egypt. A certificate that proves passing 12 years of school education, the original certificate of the preparatory stage, or the original certificate of the primary stage. Proof of 12 years of high school education: If the school is inside Egypt, then the required stamps are: School stamp and the Ministry of High Education. If the school is outside Egypt, then the required stamps are the School stamp, the Ministry of High Education in the school, the country embassy, and foreign affairs. Upon obtaining the certificate from a country other than Egypt, proof of obtaining 12 years of school study stamped by the school, the educational administration, and the Egyptian Embassy in the country where the student has obtained the certificate should be submitted.     1. Arab countries General Secondary Certificate:
    Original of the general secondary certificate stamped by the Egyptian Embassy in the country to which it belongs. Grade 11 and Grade 12 certificates are required in the Saudi Secondary School with the aptitude test results. For the Yemeni general secondary certificate, it is required to provide proof of 12 years of school, stamped by the school and the educational administration Note: The educational directorate must stamp all certificates from Egyptian schools Do I have to submit the Arabic and Religion test results with my documents? If you already apply for the test, you must submit its results. If not, you have a chance to sit for it any time during your university study, but before graduation. How can I send the SAT result?     What are the requirements of the STEM high school certificate for the Application? STEM schools (scientific or math section), students can apply with an overall score of less than Thanweya Amma by 5%. What are the equivalent percentages of the British grades / the British new numerical grading for the IGCSE?

    What are the requirements of any other secondary school certificate? The certificate must be officially equivalent to the Egyptian Thanweya Amma in compliance with the Ministry of Higher Education regulations and score calculation rules in Egypt. What are the National Certificates Requirements ?
