Fashion Design Program

Program Overview

Is fashion your passion? If so, this major is for you!

Choosing to study a fashion and textile design degree is perfect for creative people who have an interest in fashion, clothing and the latest trends. If you have always wanted to design your own clothes, prefer an individual look to what everyone else wears and want to harness your creativity, then a fashion and textile design degree is for you.

In our Fashion Design degree programs, you can learn both traditional and computer-generated design techniques for making stylish apparel from start to finish. You can also gain the marketing, entrepreneurial, and creative skills needed to promote your designs in the global fashion market.

Our program knows what’s needed to succeed in the Fashion Design industry. It starts by helping you build foundational skills in apparel construction, fashion illustration, textiles, and pattern making. Then, using industrial sewing machines, computer-aided design software, and other professional-grade equipment and technology, you can learn how to apply these skills to create pieces as unique as you are.

The fashion degree program focuses on the creation of clothing including ready-to-wear, womenswear, menswear, and childrens'-wear. You’ll be encouraged to develop your personal vision and design philosophy while deepening your understanding of the various international market segments.

Studying a fashion and textile design degree will give you the design, production and artistic techniques needed for a career in fashion and textiles. You will develop your ability to use cutting edge machinery, learn about the history of fashion and design a portfolio of work which you will be able to use for future job interviews.
