Galala University joins the membership of Texas International Education Consortium

Following its efforts to establish international partnerships with various institutions and universities worldwide, Galala University has recently joined as an affiliate member of the Texas International Consortium (TIEC). This represents a future step towards developing teaching activities and training new teaching staff for future generations.   Through this collaboration, Galala University is unique in being the first Egyptian national and government University to join the Consortium’s membership. Prof. Mohammed Al-Shanawi, Acting Vice President of International Relations, Community Service, and Environmental Development, expressed his happiness with this partnership, which will provide an added value in the short and long term. Prof. Al-Shanawi also stressed that the scientific partnerships that the University is looking for are not just traditional partnerships, but rather real opportunities for scientific exchange at all levels, saying, “There is no doubt that this cooperation helps to achieve the university’s vision, through the graduation of scientifically competent batches capable of building the society, through developing teaching methods, teaching activities, curricula, encouraging scientific dialogue and exchange of experiences across all fields, in addition to strengthening academic and functional relations between the two parties, under this new agreement.”
The Texas International Education Consortium works on building international partnerships and establishing lasting relationships between Texas higher education and its counterparts worldwide. It welcomes the exchange of visits and scientific seminars and access to high-quality education globally, in light of long and enduring institutional commitments to share knowledge and experience. The Consortium’s Board of Directors recently applied an amendment to the bylaws to expand Texas membership to private universities and establish a membership option for partner institutions worldwide. Through this collaboration, Galala University aims to reach a network of scientific counterparts throughout Texas and globally, to join the programs and projects led by TIEC; to create a global database of Faculty, Administrators, and Institutions, with open access to all members, to facilitate training courses, conferences, and workshops designed specifically for members of the Consortium. The Consortium offers its members the advantage of posting their news bulletins and promoting social media pages.   Under this membership, Galala University will create a page on the Consortium’s website. Five faculty members will get access, create an account on the partners search part on the website, and promote scientific dialogue between the two parties.
