Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, Acting Vice President for International Cooperation, Community Service and Environmental Development and Dr. Adel El-Adawy, Director of the Economics and Political Science Program, received Dr. Mohamed Atallah, Vice President of New York University, and Coordinator of the Conference of the Egyptian Scholars Association in America and Canada.
Prof. Dr. El-Shinawi started the meeting with a brief presentation on the role and objectives of Galala University, among which is establishing international cooperation with various Arab and international institutions and universities. He added that collaboration between members of the Association in Canada and America and researchers at Galala University will present joint research projects in various disciplines and fields, in addition to coordinating visits to members of the Association to the University to provide them with training courses and workshops in all disciplines.
On the other hand, Dr. Mohamed Atallah, Vice President of New York University, and Coordinator of the Conference of the Egyptian Scholars Association in America and Canada stated that he was amazed by what he saw on GU campus with state-of-the-art facilities and unique academic programs offered by the University. He also declared that an arrangement will be made to hold the 49th conference of the Association in December 2022 at Galala University.
It is worth noting that Galala University has already signed several international partnership agreements with several prestigious international universities such as; Arizona State University, which will grant dual degrees in various fields, Texas International Education Consortium, which includes 15 universities from Texas, and the University of Hiroshima, where Japanese professors are hosted to teach at the university.
