Galala University has been selected to join the Cintana Alliance, enabling its students to benefit from collaboration with some of the world’s most innovative institutions. As part of the initiative, Galala University will launch dual degree programs with Arizona State University in a number of disciplinary domains, including business and engineering. For the first time in Egypt, students will be able to earn a bachelor’s degree from both an American university and an Egyptian one, without leaving Egypt.

Galala University is the newest member of the Cintana Alliance, a global network of ambitious universities working together to develop and scale high-quality academic programs that respond to their country’s economic and social needs. The Alliance was established through a partnership between Cintana Education and Arizona State University (ASU). Named the most innovative university in the U.S. by U.S. News and World Report for the last six years and one of the world’s most prestigious universities by Times Higher Education, ASU has the largest engineering college in the United States. The Master of Global Management at ASU’s Thunderbird School of Global Business Management is also ranked first in the world by Times Higher Education and The Wall Street Journal.

Cintana Alliance members benefit from access to Arizona State University’s online curriculum and expertise in digital learning, insights into how to build a world-class research program, and articulation agreements that enable students to earn an ASU credential or degree. In close collaboration with ASU, Cintana will be providing Galala University with best practices in strategy, technology, management and access to world-class curriculum, faculty and research capabilities.

Galala University is one of the newest universities in Egypt, established in 2020 by a Presidential decree, and is located at the city of Galala Mountain in the Red Sea area. Over the next few years, the university will accommodate over 15,000 students. The university comprises fourteen faculties in various scientific fields and disciplines such as: engineering, computer sciences, architecture, business and administrative sciences, medicine, dentistry, clinical pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, applied health sciences technology and basic sciences. The university also includes the faculties of the art and design, humanities and social Sciences, media production, food Industry, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, renewable energy, and petrochemical sciences.
