Position: Full-Time Professor of Psychology
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our Psychology Department as a full-time Professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in psychology, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic development of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching:
• Deliver high-quality instruction in core and elective psychology courses.
• Develop, update, and maintain course materials and syllabi in line with curriculum requirements.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies to engage students.
2. Research:
• Conduct original research in the field of psychology and contribute to academic publications.
• Seek research funding through grants and collaborations.
• Supervise student research projects, including theses and dissertations.
3. Student Mentorship:
• Provide academic advising and career counseling to students.
• Support students in developing their academic and research skills.
• Mentor students through academic and professional development.
4. Service to the University:
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic committees.
• Contribute to the development and promotion of psychology programs.
• Engage in community outreach and professional service related to psychology.
5. Continuous Professional Development:
• Stay current with advancements in the field of psychology.
• Participate in conferences, workshops, and professional associations.
Qualifications:
• PhD in Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A strong record of teaching experience at the university level.
• Evidence of a strong research portfolio with publications in reputable journals.
• Experience supervising graduate and/or undergraduate research.
• Demonstrated ability to secure research funding is preferred.
