GU signs a cooperation protocol with” Misr El Kheir” Foundation.
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Haider Ghaleb, Acting President of Galala University, Prof. Dr. Tarek Abou Elmaaty, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, Acting Vice President for International Cooperation, Community Services and Environmental Development, Galala University signed today a cooperation protocol with “Misr El Kheir” Foundation to provide health convoys to remote areas, encourage students to volunteer, and implement a set of activities and events that serve many groups of society and meet their needs in various areas. This aligns with Galala University’s mission to serve the community in all fields, whether related to the educational process, scientific research, innovation or health, and also promote volunteering activities among its students.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of Misr El Kheir Foundation, and Dr. Saber Hassan, Head of the Education Sector, who signed the protocol on behalf of Misr El-Kheir Foundation. The protocol aims at activating the role of social responsibility and raising awareness among university students about the importance of voluntary participation in community service in various fields.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, Galala University’s Acting Vice President for International Cooperation, Community Services and Environmental Development stated that the cooperation protocol with Misr El-Kheir is the beginning of a partnership to implement a number of development projects in education and training, emphasizing that GU welcomes distinguished students in various fields, and provides scholarships for those who deserve it, as the students will have the opportunity to participate in the volunteering and community service work implemented by the Misr Al-Kheir Foundation throughout the year, then the student will be given a certificate stating the number of volunteer hours to benefit from when applying for scholarships.
It’s worth mentioning that besides offering scholarships, the cooperation protocol will include sending health convoys to remote areas, as well as cooperation in the field of education and school management, international projects, and educational loans.
Moreover, The Deputy Managing Director of Misr El Kheir Foundation, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman, added that Galala University will coordinate and prepare meetings and workshops, while offering a discount of a maximum of 25% on academic expenses in programs such as media production, logistics and supply chains, material and manufacturing engineering , animation films, Fashion and textile design, graphic design, provided that the number of students in the program is not less than 20 students, with the possibility of adding other programs.
Furthermore, Abdel Rahman pointed out that the cooperation between Misr El-Kheir and Galala University comprises various fields of training, especially in the field of modern science applications and artificial intelligence, in addition to cooperation in the field of research to develop national and environmental industries.
