Galala University Signs a Cooperation Agreement with Hiroshima University in Japan to Strengthen Academic and Research Collaboration
In a significant step toward expanding its international partnerships, Galala University (GU) has signed a joint cooperation agreement with Hiroshima University in Japan to enhance collaboration in academic and research fields. The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reflecting GU’s ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional and globally competitive educational experience for all its students.
Under this agreement, Galala University will host fifteen faculty members from Hiroshima University, who will contribute to teaching and training GU students across various disciplines. The agreement also includes mutual cooperation in scientific research, summer training programs, and student exchange initiatives, promoting intercultural learning and academic excellence.
Hiroshima University is one of Japan’s most prestigious and oldest universities, renowned for its excellence in higher education and research. Through this collaboration, Galala University aims to benefit from Japan’s advanced educational experience, particularly in fields such as engineering, dentistry, and Japanese language studies, where Japan has been a pioneer in reforming education systems and fostering innovation.
The agreement was signed in the presence of H.E. Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and H.E. Mr. Masaki Noke, Ambassador of Japan to Egypt. Signing the agreement were Prof. Ashraf Haidar Ghaleb, Acting President of Galala University, and Prof. Ouchi Mitsuo, President of Hiroshima University.
The signing ceremony was also attended by several distinguished figures, including Prof. Adel El-Adawy, Vice Chairman of GU’s Board of Trustees and former Minister of Health; Prof. Ayman Ashour, Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Projects and Universities; Prof. Mohamed El-Shinawi, Acting Vice President for International Cooperation and Community Service; and Prof. Tarek Abou El-Maati, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Additionally, Prof. Ashraf El-Azzazy, Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector; Prof. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, Media Advisor and Official Spokesperson of the Ministry; and Dr. Mohamed El-Sharkawy, Assistant Minister for Financing and Investment, also attended.
Joining the event virtually were H.E. Ambassador Ayman Kamel, Egypt’s Ambassador to Japan, Dr. Hany El-Shemy, Egyptian Cultural Counselor, and Dr. Hanem Ahmed, Egyptian Cultural Attaché in Japan.
This partnership marks a new milestone in Galala University’s global strategy, emphasizing its dedication to building strong international networks and enhancing educational quality through collaboration, innovation, and research excellence.
