Galala University Welcomes Dr. Omar Mohsen, Egypt’s Young Mathematical Prodigy, to Its Academic Staff
In line with its vision to provide an exceptional learning experience, Galala University (GU) proudly announces the joining of Dr. Omar Mohsen, one of Egypt’s most inspiring young scholars, to its distinguished academic staff.
Dr. Omar made global headlines for his remarkable achievements in the field of Mathematics. At only 22 years old, he earned his Ph.D. from Paris Diderot University, making him one of the youngest Egyptians ever to achieve this milestone. His exceptional talent was evident early on — as a fifth-grader, his teachers recognized his extraordinary aptitude for mathematics, leading him to study informally at Cairo University’s Faculty of Science at just 13 years old.
By the age of 19, Dr. Omar received a French scholarship to pursue his Master’s degree, and since then, he has authored six scientific publications. Currently, he is serving as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Muenster in Germany.
Welcoming Dr. Omar to GU reflects the university’s dedication to attracting world-class talent and inspiring students to dream big, think boldly, and push the boundaries of knowledge — because at Galala University, the sky is the limit.
