Galala University Pharmacy Students Visit 57357 Hospital for Experiential Learning
As part of its commitment to practical, hands-on education, students from Galala University’s Faculty of Pharmacy recently visited 57357 Hospital, one of Egypt’s leading institutions in pediatric oncology and pharmaceutical care.
During the visit, GU students explored the Clinical Pharmacy Department, where they learned about the hospital’s meticulous workflow—from the manufacturing and quality assurance of medications to their dispensing and delivery to patients. This experience allowed students to observe how theory translates into real-world applications, deepening their understanding of pharmaceutical operations, patient safety, and precision in prescription management.
The students also toured the hospital’s central pharmacy, gaining insight into the systems and protocols that ensure accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in medication preparation and distribution.
Beyond academics, the visit carried a heartfelt dimension. The Galalians spent time with young patients, organizing fun and interactive activities that brought smiles and moments of joy to the children. This experience reinforced the human side of healthcare, reminding students of the compassion and empathy that lie at the core of their profession.
Such field visits reflect Galala University’s dedication to experiential learning, bridging the gap between classroom education and real-life medical practice while fostering a sense of social responsibility among its students.
