Galala University Hosts Leadership Development Week to Empower Egypt’s Youth

Recognizing that youth are the cornerstone of progress and the driving force behind sustainable development, Galala University (GU) proudly launched the Leadership Development Week on its campus under the esteemed patronage of:

  • H.E. Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research

  • H.E. Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports

  • Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, Acting President of Galala University

  • Dr. Karim Hammam, Director of the Leadership Institute

The week-long event, taking place from Sunday until Wednesday, February 1st, brings together 500 students from 20 universities across Egypt to participate in a dynamic program that combines sports, artistic, social, and cultural activities.

The initiative aims to develop leadership qualities, foster teamwork, and promote creativity and civic engagement among Egyptian youth — reinforcing GU’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded future leaders who can actively contribute to their communities and the nation’s development.

As part of the opening ceremony, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between Galala University and the Leadership Institute. This collaboration seeks to prepare future calibers capable of building their country, while instilling the values of volunteering, innovation, and social responsibility.

Through a series of workshops, training courses, and interactive sessions, the partnership will help young participants enhance their skills, explore their talents, and gain the confidence and experience needed to excel in both their academic and professional lives.

The Leadership Development Week at Galala University stands as a testament to the institution’s continuous efforts to empower youth, promote leadership education, and support Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable and inclusive development.
