World Health Day – Galala University Health Awareness Initiative

Short press note
Galala University marked World Health Day with a campus-wide awareness push that turned everyday choices into simple health wins. Throughout the day, student ambassadors and staff shared quick guides on sleep, movement, nutrition, and mental well-being, alongside signposts to on-campus support services. The message was clear and practical: small, repeated habits compound—and access to care matters.

From the ground

  • Pop-up info points distilled “know your numbers” basics (blood pressure, BMI ranges, hydration cues) into one-minute reads.

  • Faculty advisors amplified mental-health literacy—normalizing help-seeking and pointing to counseling hours and emergency contacts.

  • Digital cards in Arabic and English packaged the essentials: when to move, how to build a balanced plate, screen-time hygiene, and respectful peer support.

Why this mattered today
“Health for All” isn’t a slogan here; it’s a campus norm. By making guidance visible—and pathways to services obvious—the initiative helps students and staff act sooner, not later. The focus stays on inclusion: clear language, low-cost tips, and routes to verified care providers for anyone who needs more than advice.
