Galala University Engineering Students Visit Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in El-Mahalla El Kobra as Part of Industrial Project Course

As part of the “Industrial Project” course, the Faculty of Engineering at Galala University organized a field visit for its students to Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in El-Mahalla El Kobra, one of the largest industrial landmarks in Egypt’s textile industry.

During the visit, students explored the latest industrial technologies applied within the factory, with a special focus on Predictive Maintenance techniques and the implementation of Digital Twin technology for spinning machinery. They also observed various production lines for spinning and garment manufacturing, gaining a comprehensive, hands-on understanding of the full industrial production cycle.

The visit provided students with insight into how advanced technologies are utilized to enhance machine performance and anticipate malfunctions before they occur, thereby minimizing downtime and improving overall production efficiency.

This visit aligns with the Faculty of Engineering’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with major industrial institutions, aiming to enrich students’ practical experiences and equip them with the skills needed to meet current labor market demands.
