The Technology of Radiology and Medical Imaging Program at Galala University proudly held its Graduation Project Discussion Day for the Class of 2025 at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology building. The event marked a significant milestone for the graduating students, who presented their projects before a distinguished panel of faculty members and industry experts.
The discussion panels featured Prof. Adel Elged, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Hend Galal Eldeen, Program Director, Dr. Hala El Maghraby, and Dr. Nesreen, Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at Galala University. The panels also included respected external experts such as Dr. Maged Badawy, Head of Radiology at Cleopatra Hospital; Dr. Yasser Abdel-Fattah, Head of Radiology at Saudi German Hospital; Eng. Shady Zohdy from IMED Inc.; Dr. Mohamed Hamam; and Eng. Amr Abu Darya from Rology.
Five student groups showcased their graduation projects, addressing real-world challenges and demonstrating their readiness to contribute to the healthcare sector. Among the most notable projects was GUSCO, a solar-powered mobile medical truck equipped with CT, MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound units. Designed to provide comprehensive diagnostic services in remote and underserved areas, the GUSCO project aims to improve access to medical imaging and reduce hospital waiting times across Egypt.
The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University, who inaugurated the GUSCO project and praised the students for their forward-thinking and socially impactful ideas.
To conclude the day, a competitive activity titled “Radiology Got Talent” was held. Students competed in radiology-related challenges and quizzes, and the winning team was awarded a trophy for their performance.
The Graduation Project Discussion Day highlighted the innovative spirit, technical expertise, and community-driven mindset of the Class of 2025, reinforcing Galala University’s mission to graduate future leaders equipped to transform the healthcare landscape in Egypt and beyond.
