In line with the vision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, to expand opportunities and open new horizons for the University’s students, Galala University was invited to take part in the “Ripple Summit 2025” for Innovation and University Entrepreneurship, organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT).
The prestigious event was held at the Headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, in the presence of H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, along with several distinguished figures from the academic and governmental sectors.
Representing Galala University, the University Center for Career Development (UCCD) participated in the summit, led by its Director, Dr. Ahmed El-Tonboly. The University’s participation aimed to strengthen communication channels with stakeholders and institutions across the Arab region, promoting a culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship within the university community.
The event brought together students, academic leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators from various Arab universities to exchange ideas, showcase start-up projects, and explore collaborative opportunities that drive sustainable development and empower young minds.
Among the distinguished attendees were: H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Wakeel, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, representing the Minister, and Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport.
Galala University’s active presence at the Ripple Summit 2025 reaffirms its commitment to fostering innovation, supporting youth-led initiatives, and equipping its students with the skills necessary to lead future entrepreneurial ventures.
