Galala University Students Win Tourism Film Award at the Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival

In a remarkable achievement that highlights the creativity and innovation of Galala University students, “Fadlos”, a graduation project from the Faculty of Media Production, won the Tourism Film Award at the Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival.

This recognition reflects the excellence of GU students in merging academic learning with real-world application, demonstrating the university’s commitment to fostering young talent capable of using media and storytelling as powerful tools for social and cultural development.
“Fadlos” explores themes of cultural identity, community values, and the beauty of Egyptian destinations, presenting them in a cinematic style that supports sustainable tourism and promotes Egypt’s cultural heritage on both national and international levels.
The success of this project directly contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
• SDG 4: Quality Education – by encouraging project-based learning that enhances students’ creative and technical skills.
