Galala University has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Misr El Kheir Foundation to strengthen cooperation in education, scientific research, community development, and student support, in line with national priorities and sustainable development goals.
As part of their shared commitment to sustainable development and human capacity building, Galala University and Misr El Kheir Foundation signed an MoU to establish a comprehensive framework for long-term collaboration. The agreement focuses on joint initiatives in training, applied research, community service, support for outstanding students through scholarships, development of national industries, and the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The MoU was signed at Galala University’s campus in the presence of senior representatives from both institutions. This step reflects the continuity of their efforts to serve Egyptian society and provide advanced educational and training opportunities for university students and youth across the country.
Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University, expressed pride in the partnership, emphasizing the University’s mission to deliver a leading model of applied education that responds directly to labor market needs.
“Egypt today needs integrated efforts between universities and development institutions to ensure high-quality education and a learning environment that equips young people with future skills,” Dr. El Shinawi said. “At Galala University, we believe our role extends beyond classrooms into society. This partnership will open wide horizons for our students to gain world-class practical and applied experience.”
He added that both sides will work on implementing specialized training programs and collaborative research projects, while also supporting high-achieving students. “This agreement enhances the University’s role as a key national partner in building the Egyptian human capital,” he noted.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Rifai, CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation, welcomed the signing of the MoU, affirming that the cooperation goes beyond academic aspects to broader community impact.
“The memorandum is not limited to education and study-related areas,” Dr. Rifai stated. “It includes scholarships, medical convoys, academic and scientific publishing, volunteer programs, and development services targeting those most in need.”
Dr. Rifai explained that the MoU outlines priority areas for cooperation, including scholarship programs, health convoys to remote and underserved communities, collaboration in education and school management, implementation of international projects, identifying international funding opportunities, joint academic publishing, and organizing shared events such as meetings and workshops.
The partnership targets several key pillars, most notably:
* delivering training programs and workshops in engineering, science, artificial intelligence, and social development;
* supporting outstanding students through scholarships and funding exceptional graduation projects;
* developing joint youth skills programs aligned with employment needs;
* implementing applied research projects serving national priorities;
* expanding community development efforts in the most vulnerable areas;
* supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, and student-led initiatives.
Galala University and Misr El Kheir Foundation reaffirm that this partnership reflects their belief that education and development form the foundation of a stronger future. Together, they aim to build a more knowledgeable, capable, and empowered society for coming generations.
