In a remarkable achievement that reflects Galala University’s growing prominence on the regional and global scientific research map, the university has proudly announced the publication of 1,105 peer-reviewed scientific papers across major international databases.
This milestone underscores GU’s commitment to an ambitious academic strategy that prioritizes excellence, fosters innovation, and directly connects scientific research with industry needs and societal challenges—fully aligned with the strategic goals of Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt’s Vision 2030, inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
This success is the result of a clear and integrated research strategy adopted by the university, spanning a wide range of vital fields including medicine, engineering, basic sciences, administrative sciences, social sciences, media, and arts, among other interdisciplinary areas.
Since its establishment, Galala University has made significant contributions to sustainable development, with over 600 published papers addressing the 17 UN SDGs, positioning it as a leading contributor among newly established national universities. This reflects the university’s role as a research-driven institution striving for societal impact and scientific excellence.
Professor Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, stated:

As part of its ongoing commitment to research excellence, the university recently honored 78 faculty members and affiliates for their outstanding contributions to scientific publishing in 2024. A celebration was held on campus, attended by university leaders, where certificates of appreciation were presented in an atmosphere filled with pride and accomplishment.
