President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology Visits Galala University Booth at COP27

As part of its active participation in COP27 Egypt, Galala University (GU) reaffirmed its strong commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility through its eco-friendly booth in the Green Zone.

On the second day of the conference, GU was honored to welcome Dr. Mahmoud Sakr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT). Dr. Sakr was highly impressed by the creativity and innovation displayed by GU students, who designed and constructed the entire booth using recycled and sustainable materials.

This initiative reflects Galala University’s vision to lead by example as a sustainable university with a green campus, dedicated to minimizing environmental impact while raising awareness about the urgent challenges of climate change.

The booth not only showcased GU’s environmental projects and research but also embodied the university’s broader mission to educate and inspire its community toward adopting eco-conscious practices. Through such initiatives, Galala University continues to play a key role in fostering sustainability, innovation, and environmental awareness among Egypt’s youth.
