Galala University has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Italian High School for Applied Science and Technology (IHSS), establishing an integrated educational model that bridges pre-university and university education and prepares high school students for the global technology-driven job market.

As part of Galala University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and applied cooperation with pre-university education institutions, and to foster technological skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students, the University signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Italian High School for Applied Science and Technology (IHSS).

The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, President of Galala University, and Dr. Saad Mohamed El Geoushy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IHSS, in the presence of senior leaders from both institutions. The partnership aims to create a fully integrated educational pathway connecting school education with university study, while equipping students with future-ready skills aligned with modern higher education and labor market needs.

Welcoming the IHSS delegation, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi emphasized that Galala University is committed to building a real and practical model linking pre-university education with university learning to prepare students for the global technological workforce. He noted that the University is pleased to collaborate with IHSS and to welcome its students into Galala University’s laboratories and the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, where they will receive advanced hands-on training.

Dr. Saad Mohamed El Geoushy expressed his happiness to visit Galala University for the second time, describing the University as a leading example of progress in Egyptian higher education. He highlighted that the partnership introduces an innovative experience for Egypt and the Arab region by providing high school students with direct exposure to university-level learning and practical preparation for industry. He added that many countries invest heavily in linking secondary education to industry, and that this model is now being applied through Galala University, noting the initiative as a milestone in his professional career, with full support promised to talented students.

The agreement includes several key areas of cooperation, most notably:

* Academic contribution and curriculum development: specialized faculty members and teachers from Galala University’s Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering will participate in delivering IHSS technological programs. The University will also conduct periodic reviews and updates of IHSS curricula in line with the latest international standards, with full academic supervision to ensure quality.

* University pathways for IHSS students: IHSS students will be encouraged to apply to Galala University’s programs, including Computer Science and Engineering, Engineering, Administrative Sciences, and other advanced fields. The agreement also provides special facilitation for IHSS graduates, tailored applied pathways, and the study of scholarship allocation in accordance with the University’s legal and regulatory frameworks.

* Innovation and applied projects: Galala University faculty will contribute to IHSS technology incubator projects, with the possibility of nominating additional University expertise for applied research and innovation initiatives.

* Joint scientific and student activities: both sides will exchange participation in scientific events and conferences, support student participation in local and international competitions through joint projects, and work on producing applied innovations aligned with fifth-generation university trends.

* Future academic programs: the partners will explore launching new IHSS study tracks such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and nanotechnology, aligned with Galala University’s offerings, while also developing specialized university programs tailored to IHSS outputs in line with University and Supreme Council of Universities regulations.

Galala University confirmed that this agreement reflects its vision to drive a qualitative transformation in Egypt’s education ecosystem by connecting students early with university education and advanced technologies, supporting the knowledge economy, and preparing a new generation capable of competing locally and globally.
