Mentorship Program

Program Overview

  • Objective: To create a platform for alumni to share their experiences and expertise with current students and recent graduates, helping them make informed decisions about their career paths, further studies, and professional growth.
  • Alumni Participation: Alumni can volunteer to become mentors in their specific areas of expertise. Mentors can offer career advice, share industry insights, and help students and recent graduates navigate challenges they may face in their professional journeys.

How It Works

  1. Alumni Sign-Up:
    • Alumni can opt-in through the Alumni Portal to become mentors by completing a short form that includes their career field, areas of expertise, and availability.
  2. Matching Process:
    • The Alumni Relations Team will match mentors with students or recent graduates based on shared interests, career goals, and fields of study. This ensures meaningful and relevant guidance.
  3. Mentorship Channels:
    • Mentorship can take place in various formats, including one-on-one meetings (virtual or in-person), group sessions, email correspondence, or even through webinars or career talks.
  4. Mentorship Activities:

    • Alumni can also share opportunities for internships, job openings, or special projects that may benefit the mentees.
  5. Program Duration:
    • The mentorship program can be ongoing, with alumni and students agreeing on a specific duration of their partnership (e.g., 6 months, 1 year) or an as-needed basis.
  6. Alumni Engagement:
    • The program will be a key way to keep alumni engaged with the university. It also creates a sense of responsibility and pride among alumni, knowing they are helping to shape the future of the next generation of professionals.

Benefits of the Program:

    • For Students: Access to personalized guidance from professionals, improved career prospects, networking opportunities, and real-world insights into their chosen industries.
