Professor Hassanein graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University, in 1988. He received his M.Sc. in 1993 and his Ph.D. in 1998. Professor Ehab has published over 30 national and international papers and participated in multiple scientific activities. Besides his academic work, Professor Hassanien was appointed to several key positions. He was chief of the Endodontic Department at Ain Shams University (ASU) from 2011 to 2020. He was also appointed as a member of the Scientific Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors. (2020-2022). He is currently the Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs at Galala University, Dean of the field of Dentistry and Acting Dean of Applied Health Sciences at Galala University.
Prof. Hassanien earned his M.Sc. in Endodontics in 1993 and later obtained his Ph.D. in the same field in 1998, both from Cairo University. His journey in academia began as a Lecturer of Endodontics in 1998, and he steadily climbed the ranks, becoming an Associate Professor of Endodontics in 2003 and eventually reaching the position of Professor of Endodontics in 2008, a title he holds today.
Prof. Hassanien has been deeply involved in various academic activities throughout his career. He has been actively teaching and participating in workshops for Continuous Education Programs at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Ain Shams University, from 1998 until 2021. His dedication to education extends to writing and editing books for 4th and 5th-year students at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Ain Shams University, and at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, 6th October University. Prof. Hassanien has been crucial in conducting written, oral, and practical exams for 4th and 5th-year students in several universities, including the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, 6th October University. In addition to his academic responsibilities, Prof. Hassanien has held leadership positions within the academic community. He was Chairman of the Endodontics Department at Ain Shams University from 2011 to 2019. Furthermore, his commitment to academic excellence led to his appointment as a member of the Scientific Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors from 2020 to 2022.
Today, Prof. Ehab Hassanien continues to make significant contributions to dental education and research as the Dean of Dentistry at Galala University. His dedication and leadership in dentistry have left an indelible mark on the academic and professional landscape.
